Dec Donnelly pays tribute to wife Ali Astall to mark their fourth wedding anniversary – and the first as parents.

For years Declan Donnelly has been inseperable from his telly best friend Ant McPartlin as TV duo Ant and Dec – but Dec has paid tribute to his significant other half – wife Ali Astall as they celebrate four years of marriage.

The Geordie star, 43, got engaged to their manager Ali back in 2014 after a year of dating. And the pair tied the knot on 1 August 2015 St Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, Elswick, Tyne and Wear in a ceremony which was conducted by his brother Father Dermott Donnelly, a catholic priest, with Ant as his best man.

Dec took to Instagram to share a beautiful snap of them cutting the cake on their wedding day, and he captioned it, ‘I can’t believe this was 4 years ago today. It’s gone by so quickly. Thanks for all the lovely messages. We’re having a lovely anniversary, our first with our beautiful baby girl D&A x’

And the post has attracted a string of congratulations from their celebrity friends. This Morning host Phillip Schofield wrote, ‘Happy anniversary you gorgeous people xxx’ Rochelle Humes added, ‘What a day it was Happy Anniversary both of you x’ and Amanda Holden commented, ‘Gorgeous ’

And fans couldn’t contain their excitement at the anniversary, ‘OMG 4 YEARS AGO. I REMEMBER THE TWEET YOU POSTED THAT MORNING I WAS CRYING MY EYES OUT HAPPY ANNIVERSARY DEC AND ALI I LOVE YOU BOTH SO MUCH.’ and another wrote, ‘Congrats to the both of you with many more to follow x’

Dec and Ali have 11-month-old baby daughter Isla, and no doubt they will be all enjoying spending some quality time together as recently dec has been busy filming Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions and has I’m A Celebrity due to start later in the autumn.
